Learning to use real tools - part 2!

Last time we did the Home Depot Kids Workshop only Rylan was able to build. They told us it was for 5+ year olds. Well, we went again this past weekend, and when we arrived, there were all kinds of little siblings doing their own projects as well. So, little Damian donned an apron and got to work alongside big brother! They made butterfly houses this time. Daddy helping out with that real hammer...

When we got home they asked for markers to decorate their finished product (I offered paints, they wanted markers!). Taa-daa...as Damian exclaims every time he finishes something!

Learning to use real tools

Once a month Home Depot offers free Kids Workshops where children 5 and up are able to use real tools to build something (the something changes each month). On Saturday we took Rylan for the first time. He was given everything he needed to build a toy car display.

We will definitely be going to more of these in the future. After Home Depot we stopped in at the museum for family free day (a day of freebies!) and enjoyed some Chinese new year crafts and games.
